If the last couple of years have taught us anything it's to be prepared – so we’re sending our holiday guidelines early so you have you plenty of time to plan for the busy season. We always stress that these are guidelines, not deadlines, but we do encourage you to get your orders in by the following dates, to ensure we can deliver them before the holidays. Things are more normal now than last year — no more lock downs, we hope! But supply challenges and/or courier delays are still quite likely, so please don't wait until the last minute. Start your holiday promotions early and To View More >>

We have two  Print Shop  updates to set you up and inspire you for the holiday season! 1. We've launched the Print Shop Instagram account.  Print Shop users sell their imagery (people, places, landscapes etc) as decor or works of art — quite different to portrait and wedding photography marketed to "the people in the viewfinder". This space will be dedicated solely to Print Shop and selling online. We'll share the beautiful work of the photographers and artists using our platform, spiced up with tips and inspiration about To View More >>

"Micro-Weddings/Elopements/Minimony(s)." Whatever you like to call them, it appears smaller weddings are here to stay — at least for the foreseeable future.  How things used to be Many wedding photography businesses have been built on the premise that a wedding shoot lasts all day, that there will be "getting-ready" shots needed of at least one half of the couple, that after the ceremony there'll be family photos and a celebration to cover, and that in many cases a second photographer will be needed to fully capture the day’s events. Many photographers have built a career based To View More >>

In many markets Covid is likely to limit the size of weddings —  and therefore wedding photography — for some months yet. And with all the restrictions and uncertainty many weddings are likely to be postponed until next season. But there's an upside! Any 2020 weddings delayed until 2021 and 2022 could make those years busier than normal! Which will be a great "problem" to have, as long as you can cope with the extra work. What that means…  • This year albums will be very important as a way to maximise revenue and profit from wedding clients — both current To View More >>

We’re introducing one of the biggest changes to our book and album line-up in years. Today’s email is to tell you all about it. Our next will be to celebrate with two special offers! For years we’ve offered “free” services with all our albums — free colour correction, free album design, free personal titles, cover motifs and so on. Then, last year, we began experimenting with “unbundling” those services. In other words setting prices for “just the album”, with extra charges for the services if you wanted them. That’s proved so popular To View More >>

This week's album is Evagoras Mandrides Photography of the UK. This is a traditional Greek wedding, something Evagoras is very familiar with. His clients often take part in the standard, pre-wedding preparations at their homes, then have a Greek Orthodox church service followed by an evening full of dancing — and further traditions too many to list! According to 'Greek Wedding Traditions', it's traditional for family members to tie a red scarf, as a blessing, around the bride and groom's waists. "When the bride is dressed and ready, her parents, grandparents and other To View More >>

This week's 'Album of the Week' goes to Lauren Anne Photography. We love Lauren's work, and you can see it featured throughout our website.  "We are a collective of wedding photographers based in Newcastle NSW, who love shooting creative, modern and down to earth couples. Storytelling is what we love to do and we aim to capture each wedding organically, as it unfolds." "We shoot wedding stories across Australia and the world, with a focus on the Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Sydney and Central West regions. We believe that an awesome photography experience is built by making our couples comfortable To View More >>

We saw this lovely album as it went through the Queensberry bindery, and decided it should be Album of the Week! Akbar shared a few words about the day, "Shabnam and Rizwan's Walima was essentially a reception that took place in a rural town a couple miles outside of Richmond, Virginia. When entering this town you could tell that not much of it had changed since the 70's and 80's and I wanted to incorporate that feel with the photos I took." This album for Akbar Sayed Photography is a 10x10 Black Classic Leather, Heavy Panorama Flushmount with Silver Halide printing. The embossing is To View More >>

Typography plays an important role in the overall look of websites, so it's no surprise that one of the common things people want to do in Workspace is change fonts. Workspace offers a range that you can select from in the text widgets (as in the graphic) but what if you want something completely different? This tutorial will explain what to do. Warning! This will get a bit geeky, so if you're not comfortable coding CSS and HTML, contact us and for a small charge we can arrange to do the work for you. Otherwise get someone else with the necessary experience, as we To View More >>
